What this app does with your information, in plain words.
jointhesedays.com is run by Stephen Valand. Questions or requests go to him.
You sign in with LinkedIn. LinkedIn gives us your name, your photo and your email address, plus a few technical details such as your LinkedIn sign-in ID. We ask for nothing else, and we do not post to your LinkedIn account.
- Your sign-in record: your email address and the details LinkedIn sent.
- Your profile: your name, a link to your photo, your subgroup, when you joined, and whether you are a host. If a LinkedIn profile address is saved, that too.
- Your choices: who you are open to meeting, your time zone, the times you entered each week, and which emails you want.
- If you ask for invites at a different address, that address.
- A record of each email we sent you: which kind and when. Not the message itself.
- Your matches: who you were matched with, the time, and whether and when each person joined and left the call.
- Your private marks: your ratings of calls, your Skips and Stars, whether you asked to carry over to next week, and whether you went unmatched.
- For hosts: when you last opened the host screen. Invite links are stored only as a one-way scramble, never as the link.
- Your group sees your name, photo, subgroup and when you joined. Not your email.
- Only you see your ratings, Skips, Stars, who you are open to meeting, your time zone, your email choices and invite address, the times you entered, whether you went unmatched, and who you have talked with.
- The people in a match see each other's names, the time, and whether and when each joined.
- Hosts see the member list and totals, such as how many entered. They can remove members, make and turn off invite links, and set the group's times. They cannot see anyone's ratings, Skips, Stars, reach, time zone or entries, or who was matched with whom.
- Totals are shown only when they are big enough not to point at a person: the entry count from 4, the group's total from 10.
- The weekly draw runs on our server. It reads entries, Skips, Stars and reach to make the matches. The person who runs the database can technically read everything stored.
Calls are not recorded. We do not store call audio, video or transcripts, and recording is switched off for every call. What we keep about a call is the match, its time, and when each person joined and left.
- LinkedIn handles your sign-in. It learns that you signed in to this app. It does not learn your group or anything you do here.
- Supabase runs our database and sign-in. It holds everything listed above.
- Vercel hosts the app. It handles every request, so its logs can include the addresses visited (invite links included), IP addresses and browser details.
- Daily carries the live video and audio of calls. It receives your name, a call ID, and your camera and microphone during the call. It does not receive your email.
- Resend sends our emails. It receives your email address and the message. We keep open and click tracking switched off.
- Cookies that keep you signed in, and short ones used during sign-in.
- One cookie holding your time zone, kept for a year, so times show correctly.
- When you join from an invite link, one short-lived cookie (10 minutes) that carries the link through sign-in. It is removed afterward.
- On the device you use for calls, a small setting remembers whether you show your room or the week's color.
- There is no advertising and no analytics or tracking in this app.
In Settings, tap Delete my account and confirm. That removes your profile and everything tied to you in every group: your choices, entries, ratings, Skips and Stars, including the ones other people made about you. It also removes your sign-in record, with your email address.
Matches you were in stay for the other person, with you shown as a former member and no name. The time and whether people joined stay with them. A host removing you from a group removes the same group data.
Copies held by the services above in their own logs are outside our reach.
